Bharatiya Janata Party's Tamil Nadu leader Tamilisai Soundararajan has charged Chief Minister MK Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin with eroding the essence of Tamil culture. Her remarks came on Thursday while criticizing Stalin's stance on Tamil tradition during Ugadi celebrations, accusing him of sowing division by invoking Hindi.

Soundararajan highlighted past struggles for Tamil dignity and condemned the use of Hindi as a divisive electoral tool. Expressing condolences for lives lost during anti-Hindi movements, she urged leaders to focus on fundamental public needs rather than emotional rhetoric in upcoming elections.

She emphasized unequal political dynamics, citing visits by BJP national leaders to Tamil Nadu versus DMK leaders' trips to Delhi. With the Election Commission of India announcing Tamil Nadu elections for April 23 and counting on May 4, the electorate gears up for crucial polls under the newly effective Model Code of Conduct.
