Bridging the Execution Gap: Energy Efficiency in Indian Industry
A new report from ABB reveals that many industrial organizations in India are heavily investing in energy efficiency. Energy efficiency is becoming a central issue at the board level, but many industrial organizations in India struggle to turn intent into sustained results, as highlighted in a recent ABB report.
The report, based on a survey of 2,700 senior decision-makers globally, including in India, found that while 64% have invested in energy efficiency, progress is obstructed by execution gaps. Rising energy costs, impacting 72% of companies, present further challenges, despite global declines.
The report emphasizes bridging execution gaps to enhance profitability and resilience in a volatile market, noting the need for a cultural shift toward sustainable practices. Resistance to new technology, skills shortages, and poor data utilization are key barriers.
