The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra following a revision petition by Jai Anant Dehadrai. Dehadrai is asking for the dismissal of Moitra’s custody suit concerning a pet Rottweiler named Henry. He is also seeking interim relief to halt the trial court proceedings.
Dehadrai, appearing on his behalf, requested the case be heard before April 29, coinciding with Moitra's interim custody petition. He argued the suit is legally barred and requested the court stop ongoing proceedings until his concerns are addressed.
The court stated that proceedings could not be paused without input from both sides. Moitra has already filed a petition seeking pet custody from the Delhi High Court. Earlier, notice had been issued to Dehadrai, awaiting his response. A hearing is slated for April 29.
Moitra contested the Saket court's November 2025 decision, which denied her monthly 10-day custody of Henry. She criticized the decision as flawed in law and fact, asserting that Henry primarily lived with her unless official duties required her absence from Delhi, when Henry stayed with Dehadrai.
