Jaiprakash Power Ventures Experiences Profit Plunge Amid Income Dip

Jaiprakash Power Ventures has recorded a steep decline in its standalone net profit, dropping to Rs 4.89 crore for the quarter ending December 2025. This is a stark contrast to the Rs 124.65 crore profit reported in the equivalent period last year.

The company attributes this downturn to a reduction in total income, which fell to Rs 1,211.40 crore from Rs 1,256.35 crore a year earlier. This decrease in revenue has significantly impacted overall profitability.

Furthermore, the company's expenses surged to Rs 1,191.57 crore, up from Rs 1,064.03 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The combination of rising expenses and declining income has led to a notable contraction in profit margins for Jaiprakash Power Ventures.
