L&T Secures Major Infrastructure Projects in Saudi Arabia
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), an infrastructure leader, has secured projects worth Rs 2,500-5,000 crore in Saudi Arabia. These projects include constructing a gas insulated substation and overhead transmission links over 420 km. This forms part of Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme to enhance its electricity grid.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leader in infrastructure development, announced on Wednesday the acquisition of significant projects in Saudi Arabia, valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.
The projects comprise constructing a gas insulated substation and designing overhead transmission links spanning more than 420 km. This initiative supports Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP).
By enhancing its electricity grid, the kingdom aims to accommodate a surge in renewable energy projects. The country's focus on substations and transmission lines is crucial to expanding and strengthening its power infrastructure, L&T stated in their BSE filing.
