The newly commissioned LPG bottling plant by Indian Oil Corporation Limited in Arunachal Pradesh marks a significant stride toward energy self-sufficiency. The facility, located in the Papum Pare district, was inaugurated on Tuesday by Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Spanning over 46,000 square meters, the plant houses three LPG storage bullets with a combined capacity of 87 metric tonnes. Capable of refilling 3,000 cylinders per day, the plant addresses distribution challenges faced by the state after the shutdown of a previous facility. The project signifies 'Atma Nirbhar Arunachal in action’ by facilitating employment, stimulating local economic activities, and fortifying the industrial sector.
In his address, Khandu honored the late Bamang Raman, founder of the project partner M/s B.A. Enterprises, and praised his family for their continued leadership. The initiative is hailed as reflective of the government’s dedication to providing easier living conditions for its citizens, aligning with India's vision of universal clean energy access.
