Tejasvi Surya Pushes for Public Transport Over Tunnel Road in Bengaluru

BJP MP Tejasvi Surya met with Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar to deliberate on the proposed Bengaluru Tunnel Road project, emphasizing a strategic shift towards public transport to alleviate the city's chronic congestion.

Surya argued for redirecting funds from the costly tunnel project to enhancing metro and suburban rail systems. He highlighted the government's own reports, which suggest that a metro line could accommodate significantly more commuters than the tunnel road.
