A towering inferno engulfed a plastic goods warehouse in Patna on Monday, with multiple fire tenders quickly dispatched to tackle the hazardous situation. A total of four fire engines were deployed as firefighters raced against time to douse the flames, which rapidly spread due to the vast quantities of plastic on site.
In a statement to ANI, SHO Manjeet Kumar Singh revealed that the depot had been shut for an extended period and was situated adjacent to a temple. 'This building, located beside a temple, had been closed for several days. Plastic stored inside ignited, creating a formidable blaze. Thanks to the prompt response with fire tenders, the situation is now under control. Additional precautions are underway,' Singh noted.
The fire, initially posing a significant threat due to the volatile nature of stored materials, has prompted local authorities to investigate further, ensuring the safety of patrons at the neighboring religious site.
