In a spirited celebration of Chhath Puja, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the rituals at Gomti Ghat, Laxman Mela Ground in Lucknow, alongside Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. Addressing the gathering, CM Adityanath underscored the festival's essence as a beacon of India's unity, spiritual upliftment, and ancient heritage.
Highlighting the festival's significance, CM Adityanath remarked, "This isn't merely an event; it's a testament to tough dedication and a means to commune with nature." He elaborated on the ritual of offering water to the setting Sun on the third day, conveying blessings for family welfare, with the rising Sun's oblation to follow.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his Chhath Puja greetings, noting the uniqueness of the tradition in a message shared on X. He wished for universal well-being, happiness, and prosperity as the four-day festival culminates with Usha Arghya on Tuesday. Celebrations run October 25-28, marking a period of communal devotion and cultural preservation.
