Delhi Government Bolsters Staff for Homes Supporting Disabled Residents

The Delhi government has greenlit 758 new positions within its Department of Social Welfare, focusing on enhancing the quality of care for individuals with intellectual disabilities residing in five city homes.

This strategic decision aims to ensure superior management and services at government-operated facilities, including the Asha Kiran Home Complex in Rohini and other crucial centers in Narela and Najafgarh, among others.

These new roles, detailed in an official circular, will not only alleviate existing staff shortages but also strengthen vocational and administrative support within the department. The initiative tackles the urgent need for adequate care following concerning conditions revealed in 2024.
