In a shocking development, Delhi Police have apprehended a 42-year-old woman in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a 13-year-old student. The accused, identified as Pooja, was reportedly driving a Mahindra Thar when the tragic incident occurred near Vasant Kunj, leaving the young victim fatally injured.
According to police sources, a PCR call alerted authorities to the accident on October 15th, with the scene indicating a violent collision involving a black Thar vehicle and a bicycle. Despite immediate medical attention, the child was declared dead at the hospital. The police have launched an extensive investigation into the case, with charges filed under relevant legal sections.
In an unrelated incident, the capital bore witness to another alarming crime as a 72-year-old man was shot over a property dispute. The victim, Shahbuddin, sustained injuries and was hospitalized but remains stable. Police are actively pursuing the case, having registered an attempt to murder charge as they seek the involved parties.
