Punjab Police and BSF Nab Terror Operatives, Recover Weapons and Drugs in Major Operation

In a significant development, Amritsar Rural Police, in conjunction with central agencies, successfully apprehended two terror suspects identified as Mehakdeep Singh, also known as Mehak, and Aditya, alias Adhi, in Amritsar.
Authorities recovered a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) aimed at executing a potential terror attack. Initial probes suggest the accused were in contact with a Pakistani ISI operative who provided the weapon. They were also linked to Harpreet Singh, alias Vicky, currently incarcerated in Ferozepur Jail.
An FIR has been filed at Gharinda Police Station in Amritsar, with ongoing investigations to untangle the complete terror network. Punjab Police reiterated their resolve to dismantle transnational terror networks backed by Pakistan's ISI to maintain peace in the region. In parallel, operations by Punjab Police and BSF led to the seizures of drugs and weapons, underscoring their commitment to national security.
Earlier, on October 18, Punjab Police, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), recovered a packet of heroin during a search operation close to Tindiwala village in Ferozepur. Acting on intelligence, alert BSF troops, and Punjab Police found a heroin packet weighing 602 grams.
In Amritsar, using specific intelligence inputs, BSF troops conducted a comprehensive search that led to the discovery of a large packet containing the ICE drug weighing 3.675 kg in a farmland near village Bhaini Rajputana, likely dropped by a drone.
