In the Chanchal Guda area of Hyderabad, Telangana Police have lodged an FIR after five people were rendered unconscious by consuming juice distributed by unknown individuals. Inspector from the Dhabeerpura police station reported, "Two days ago, a surprising incident occurred. An unidentified person handed out juice in Chanchalguda, claiming to have completed the Quran. Subsequently, five people fell unconscious, although they are now stable."

He further explained, "The victims have filed a complaint, leading to a registered case. Investigations are underway to uncover the details surrounding this peculiar incident." Meanwhile, more information is forthcoming.

In a related development on Tuesday, Telangana police intercepted 1.6 kilograms of ganja-infused chocolates at Secunderabad railway station. Despite the successful seizure, the suspect fled the scene after spotting the Special Task Force (STF) team. According to an excise official, "The STF conducted a raid, seizing 1.600 kilograms of ganja-laced chocolates. The perpetrator evaded capture but the contraband was handed over to Secunderabad Excise Police Station for further investigation."

Just a day prior, the Telangana Police dismantled a significant ganja smuggling operation, confiscating 499 kilograms of the drug, valued at an estimated Rs 2.50 crore. The Superintendent of Police in Bhadradri Kothagudem stated that acting on credible intelligence about two individuals from Maharashtra and Karnataka, the police conducted a vehicle check, intercepting a container lorry transporting the prohibited substance. This rigorous crackdown aims to address escalating drug trafficking in the region.
