Agartala Revamps Immersion Arrangements for Vijayadashami Celebration

On Thursday, Agartala commenced the immersion ceremony of Goddess Durga amidst tight security and safety measures at Dashami Ghat, the city's primary immersion site, in celebration of Vijayadashami. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder highlighted the ongoing efforts in place to guarantee a peaceful and disciplined ceremony.
Majumder stated that the immersion activities, which began early on Thursday, will persist over the subsequent three days, wrapping up on October 4th. He emphasized the substantial overhaul conducted post the establishment of the new municipal structure to enhance the site's previous inadequate arrangements.
Dashami Ghat is set to emerge as the largest idol immersion venue in the Northeast, accommodating hundreds of idols from across the city with improved facilities for visitors. Emergency services, including HDRF and NDRF staff, ambulances, and live support, are stationed on-site to ensure safety during the immersion process.
