PETA Rescue: Heroes in the Ashes

A team from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India swung into action following a devastating fire in Ghaziabad, officials said on Friday.
The blaze, which consumed around 150 shanties in Kanwani village, left many families homeless. The Rapid Response Team from PETA India rushed to the site, where they located and treated approximately 35 to 40 dogs and two cats, providing essential veterinary care and resources.
Despite the tragedy, no human casualties were reported. Authorities are supporting displaced families with temporary shelters and ongoing relief efforts. PETA India urges the public to assist animals in distress wherever safely possible.
