The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest Friday at Rajasthan University, opposing a campus event connected to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
The event, focusing on women's empowerment and organized by Marudhara Nari Sangathan, sparked allegations from NSUI members of promoting a singular ideology, thus compromising the educational ambiance.
The protest saw students trying to penetrate campus barricades, only to be confronted by an additional police force deployed to maintain order. NSUI leader Amardeep Parihar emphasized the need for unbiased academic discourse, free from external ideological influences.
