Delhi High Court Shields Isha Foundation from Defamatory Claims

The Delhi High Court has intervened to protect the Isha Foundation from defamatory allegations made by a Tamil media outlet, Nakkheeran. The court, responding to a lawsuit filed by the foundation, ordered the removal of certain harmful content published by the magazine.

Filed in 2024, the lawsuit accused Nakkheeran of disseminating videos containing defamatory and vulgar content intended to damage the reputation of Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev and his foundation. Notably, the court dismissed Nakkheeran's attempt to have the lawsuit thrown out at this early stage.

Nakkheeran alleged that the Isha Foundation was engaged in exploitation and brainwashing. Meanwhile, the Isha Foundation issued a statement expressing gratitude for the court's decision, underscoring its dedication to social development and human well-being amid ongoing unfounded attacks.
