Assamese Film 'Moi Eti Nixhasor' Shines on Global Stage
'Moi Eti Nixhasor', an Assamese feature film, has been selected for the 59th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival in the USA. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Bidyut Kotoky, the film tells the story of a village thief navigating social and political dynamics, reflecting universal human emotions.

Assamese feature film 'Moi Eti Nixhasor' has been honored with the 'Official Selection' status at the prestigious 59th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival in the USA, as revealed by its filmmaker on Monday.
Director Bidyut Kotoky, who is also a National Award-winning filmmaker, shared with PTI that the movie is also in the running for the esteemed WorldFest Remi awards, scheduled from April 24 to May 3. He praised the commendable effort put forth by the film crew as their hard work gains international recognition.
The film, which recently earned the 'Award of Excellence Special Mention' at the Accolade Global Film Competition, portrays the life of a village thief named Koduwa. Set against the complex social and political scenarios in Assam, the narrative, based on a true story penned by journalist Anuradha Sharma Pujari, has been produced by the National Film Development Corporation and 'red river & blue hills'.
