The International Fleet Review began with a ceremonial guard of honour for President Droupadi Murmu as she arrived to preside over the event. Senior Naval officials welcomed the President while the national anthem and song set the tone for the proceedings.
President Murmu watched as key warships and submarines demonstrated their might. The event, held from February 15 to 25, marks India's first time hosting alongside Exercise MILAN and the IONS Conclave of Chiefs. This strategic gathering underscores India's maritime ambition and commitment to global naval cooperation.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer also attended, welcoming participants from over 100 nations. The port city hosts for the second time since 2016, witnessing a magnificent display of global naval forces and unity during the IFR.
