Mayawati, the president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), firmly dismissed recent reports suggesting potential alliances for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, branding them as 'fake news.' She assured that the BSP plans to contest independently, emphasizing the party's strength.
Citing the use of AI to circulate these misleading reports, Mayawati stressed the importance of disregarding such speculation. She reaffirmed her commitment to BSP's solo election campaign, recalling her public declaration from a 2025 rally. Mayawati described these rumors as tactics to undermine BSP's stand against parties with a 'narrow mindset.'
Addressing a separate controversy, she defended her entitlement to a Type-8 bungalow in Delhi due to security concerns as a former chief minister. Mayawati encouraged party workers to stay focused, aiming for a majority government in the upcoming elections, similar to their successful 2007 bid.
