The Shri Shankaracharya temple complex, dedicated to the revered Adi Shankaracharya, is set to grace the Trikuta hills of Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district. The foundation stone was laid by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, marking an event anticipated since the project's conceptualization in 1967.

This ambitious project, a vision actualized under the leadership of the lieutenant governor, is reported to be a complement to a proposed museum of goddesses at Katra. This museum aims to display replicas of major 'devi' pilgrimage sites across India, further enriching the area's spiritual and cultural tapestry.

Working in collaboration with the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, the project will unfold on 41 kanals of donated land. It's envisioned to bolster the spiritual experience for devotees and invigorate the local economy through infrastructural development and job creation, officials noted.
