President Donald Trump threw a festive Halloween party at the White House, gathering hundreds of costumed guests, including children dressed as superheroes and dinosaurs. Both Trump and First Lady Melania greeted guests on the South Lawn, complimenting an orchestral rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller.'

The president, dressed in a blue suit and red tie, alongside the first lady in an orange dress, distributed full-sized Hershey bars and Twizzlers adorned with the presidential seal. However, the celebration came amidst Trump's recent six-day Asia trip and an ongoing government shutdown.

Despite these challenges, the White House grounds were adorned with fall-themed decorations. The crowd included White House staff and military families, all enjoying the Halloween spirit, even as the shadows of political and economic challenges loomed large.
