'Tragic Drowning Incident Casts Shadow Over Chhath Puja Celebrations'
Two young girls drowned in a pond during Chhath Puja in Jharkhand's Hazaribag, raising the drowning toll to eight in the state within 24 hours. The victims, Gungun Kumari and Rupa Tiwari, were identified after the incident in Bela village, Keredari police station area. Post-mortem examinations were ordered.

In a tragic turn of events during the Chhath Puja celebrations, two young girls drowned in a pond in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, police officials reported on Monday.
The heart-wrenching incident took place in the village of Bela, within the Keredari police station jurisdiction, on Sunday evening.
Authorities confirmed the victims were Gungun Kumari, aged 11, and Rupa Tiwari, aged 12. This latest incident increases the tally of drowning deaths in the state to eight in just 24 hours. The deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
