At a high-profile event in Mumbai, film industry veterans Padmini Kolhapure and Poonam Dhillon launched the IFTAA Awards' trophy, set to honor the sacrifices of 26/11 heroes. The ceremony, orchestrated by social worker and businessman Kushal Suresh Dhuri, is scheduled for November 26, 2025.

The awards aim to pay homage to those who were martyred during the Mumbai terror attacks. Dignitaries like politician Waris Pathan and film writer Imtiaz Hussain were in attendance, with Dhuri offering tributes to attendees with bouquets and a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony.

Poonam Dhillon highlighted the importance of honoring soldiers and police personnel, noting their role as true heroes. She emphasized the need to support these heroes' families. Padmini Kolhapure echoed these sentiments, acknowledging the significance of the forthcoming awards ceremony.

Kushal Suresh Dhuri stated that the awards would serve as a heartfelt salute to the martyrs, dedicating the evening to both real and reel heroes. The IFTAA event will be grandly hosted at Chitrakoot Ground, with a direction by Rajeev Chaudhari, and co-organization by Surendra Pal.

Actor Amol Bavdankar, present to support the initiative, expressed admiration for Dhuri's vision. He hailed the awards as a tribute, not merely a ceremony, underscoring his personal connection with Dhuri and the cause.
