The Delhi government is calling upon NGOs, trusts, and foundations to step forward and partner in the establishment and management of vital cowshelters across the national capital.

During a meeting led by Development Minister Kapil Mishra, various stakeholders, including officials and representatives from prominent organizations like ISKCON, focused on developing viable models for operating these shelters efficiently, with an emphasis on cattle welfare and sustainability.

While the government will allocate land for these shelters on a license basis, partnering organizations are tasked with funding construction, operations, and upkeep, given that no financial aid will be provided. This initiative reflects a commitment to safeguard stray cattle and promote a culture of environmental responsibility within Delhi.
