The state of Jharkhand is in the final stages of preparation for the four-day Chhath festival, starting this Saturday. State Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu inspected the Chhath ghats and urged officials to hasten the completion of all remaining tasks, ensuring a seamless experience for the devotees.

The festival will begin with the 'Nahay Khay' ritual, followed by 'Kharna' on October 26, 'Sandhya Arghya' on October 27, and will conclude with 'Usha Arghya' on October 28. Minister Sonu emphasized the festival's representation of social harmony and participation, reassuring residents of Jharkhand of the state's support during this spiritual gathering.

Ranchi Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shushant Gaurav revealed the setup of 73 permanent and 50 temporary Chhath ghats for the convenience of the devotees observing the festival. Extensive cleaning, stair painting, and lighting arrangements are underway to ensure ceremony readiness, while citizens are encouraged to maintain cleanliness at the ghats.
