Transformative Launch: NSC's Seed Processing & Online Booking Revolution

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday inaugurated a cutting-edge vegetable and flower seed processing unit at the National Seeds Corporation's (NSC) Pusa Complex in the national capital. This new facility aims to enhance the availability of high-quality seeds for farmers across India, with a processing capacity of one tonne per hour.

In a significant push for technological integration in agriculture, Chouhan also introduced the 'Seed Management 2.0' system alongside an online platform enabling farmers to book seeds digitally. The minister underscored the importance of delivering quality seeds to small and marginal farmers to boost productivity and meet agricultural demands effectively.

Chouhan further emphasized the need for NSC to engage in regional language innovations to extend its reach to farmers and diminish monopolistic tendencies by private companies. The initiative represents NSC's strategic commitment to addressing farmers' seed-related concerns and fostering agricultural prosperity in India.
