Himachal Pradesh's Tourism Boost: Chief Minister Orders Digital Transformation
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the establishment of an online portal for homestay registrations and urged online payments in state hotels and guesthouses. Sukhu stressed the need for streamlined tourism operations, including empanelment of architects and revising Tourism Investment Promotion Council rules.

Himachal Pradesh is set for a digital transformation in its tourism sector, as Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the creation of an online portal for homestay registration within 10 days.
At a recent meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the necessity for all transactions in state-owned hotels and guesthouses to be conducted online. He called for tenders to hire competent software firms to develop user-friendly portals across departments.
Pushing for streamlined tourism operations, Sukhu also requested the empanelment of professional architects for crucial projects and advocated for revising the Tourism Investment Promotion Council's rules. He aims to simplify administrative procedures to enhance ease of doing business in the tourism sector.
