More than 100 individuals were treated for burn injuries during Diwali festivities in the state capital, police revealed on Tuesday. The state-run SMS hospital's emergency ward recorded ninety-nine cases, with twenty patients admitted for further care, according to an official statement.

In addition to burn cases, the hospital also received reports of other injuries at its trauma center by Tuesday morning. Across the city, a dozen fires were reported during the festival, most of which were minor incidents, except for a shop fire near Chogan Stadium.

Despite two cars catching fire overnight, authorities confirmed that no significant incidents occurred. Police maintained rigorous security, checking vehicles late into the night to deter reckless driving and misconduct.
