In Salt Lake City, chaos unfolded outside the West Bengal Education Department headquarters as job aspirants from the 2016 panel organized a protest for immediate recruitment and counselling.
The demonstrators, consisting of approximately 1,251 candidates yet to be recruited despite court rulings, marched towards Bikash Bhavan to demand action.
Tension mounted when a group bypassed barricades, triggering a confrontation with security. Protesters sat on roads, causing traffic disruptions, and accused authorities of deliberately stalling the process.
