A dispute has arisen over the UPSC results, with two women, both named Akanksha Singh, claiming the same rank. The contested 301st rank has been claimed by Akanksha Singh from Ara in Bihar, granddaughter of Brahmeshwar Singh, and another Akanksha Singh from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.
The controversy escalated when an admit card displaying the same name and roll number circulated online, prompting calls for clarification from the Union Public Service Commission. Brahmeshwar Singh's granddaughter asserted her claim to the rank, emphasizing her extensive study routine and family support.
Conversely, the Akanksha Singh from Ghazipur accused others of impersonating her and produced documents online to support her claims. As the conflicting narratives unfold, the UPSC faces demands for an official resolution.
