Fadnavis Pushes for Balanced Development in 'Viksit Maharashtra 2047'

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has mandated all departments to craft time-sensitive, practical plans to diminish regional inequalities as part of the 'Viksit Maharashtra 2047' initiative.
In a Vision Management Board meeting, he stressed the importance of inclusive growth, highlighting that while the state's per capita income exceeds the national average, 11 districts lag behind. Fadnavis directed for these to be transformed into growth catalysts.
The state has singled out 10 aspirational districts and 174 talukas for micro-level advancement, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals. The chief minister also urged departments to enhance business conditions and attract investment through policy improvements. Coordination among departments was deemed essential for tracking and achieving development milestones.
