HZL Reports Boost in Mined and Refined Metal Production Despite Silver Slump
Vedanta's Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) reported an increase in mined and refined metal production for Q4 FY26, while silver production decreased slightly. Mined metal increased by 2% to 315,000 tonnes, and refined metal by 5% to 282,000 tonnes. Silver production fell by 0.2% and wind power generation decreased by 11%.

Vedanta's Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) has revealed a surge in its mined metal and refined metal outputs for the final quarter of FY26, despite a minor decline in silver production.
The company's mined metal production rose by 2% to 315,000 tonnes, while refined metal output expanded by 5% to 282,000 tonnes during the January-March period.
Meanwhile, silver production slightly decreased by 0.2% to 176 tonnes, and wind power generation saw an 11% drop to 56 million units. HZL stands as a global leader in zinc production and ranks among the top five silver producers worldwide.
