Bihar's Mines and Geology Department achieved a remarkable revenue of Rs 3,592 crore in the 2025-26 fiscal year, as announced by the state's Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha.
The revenue represents 93% of the department's annual target, reflecting a substantial growth from previous years. The collection in 2025-26 surpassed the previous year by Rs 56.39 crore.
Efforts to curb illegal mining through initiatives like the 'Bihar Yoddha' award and technological advancements have helped transform the state's mining sector into a promising field for entrepreneurship.
