From Executive Director to Finance Chief: Rajesh Kumar's New Role at REC Ltd

Rajesh Kumar has officially stepped into the role of Director (Finance) at REC Ltd, beginning on April 2, 2026. This appointment follows the approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on March 25 after a meticulous selection process within the Ministry of Power.

Kumar brings with him a wealth of over three decades of experience in public sector finance, especially in areas relating to power and infrastructure funding. His qualifications, which include being a Chartered Accountant and a Cost & Management Accountant, are complemented by a foundational Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University's Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Prior to this elevation, Kumar had been serving as Executive Director (Finance) at REC Ltd, where he significantly contributed to the company's financial strategies. His expertise encompasses a broad range of financial disciplines, including accounts, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
