Punjab Finance and Transport Minister Harpal Singh Cheema directed officials to expedite the processing of pending Registration Certificate (RC) and Driving Licence (DL) applications at a review meeting on Wednesday. The aim is to enhance public services by clearing applications within a set timeline.

Cheema emphasized the state's commitment to timely service delivery, mentioning that delayed cases will be monitored closely. He stressed the need to resolve verification and approval backlogs, urging officials to clear printing backlogs of RCs and DLs to reduce public inconvenience.

Efforts to improve road safety include better monitoring via traffic cameras, while public transport services are being reviewed to optimize schedules and expand routes. Accountability in processing delays is being assessed with data collection.
