Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary tabled this resolution in the Rajya Sabha shortly after the post-lunch reconvening of the House. It was swiftly adopted through a voice vote.
The approved resolution pertains to a Central Excise notification dated March 26, 2026, which seeks to introduce a special additional excise duty on Aviation Turbine Fuel at Rs 50 per litre, modifying the Eighth Schedule to the Finance Act, 2002.
