According to data from the Directorate of Employment, Rajasthan is grappling with an unemployment crisis as over 22 lakh youth are registered as job seekers across the state's employment offices. This includes over 13 lakh males, 9 lakh females, and nearly a thousand individuals classified under the 'other' category.

The highest number of unemployed individuals are found in Jaipur, with 2.51 lakh registrations, followed by Alwar, Nagaur, Jhunjhunu, and Jodhpur. Meanwhile, Jaisalmer and Pratapgarh report the least, with around 12,000 registrations each.

Despite rapid private sector growth, job placement remains minuscule, with a call for revitalizing unemployment offices. RTI applicant Chandra Shekhar Gaur highlights the need for proactive action, especially given no government sector hiring in the last five years.
