Indian Railways Boosts Connectivity: Special Trains Regularized
Indian Railways has regularized the Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad and Puri-Patna special trains to enhance connectivity in Odisha. In a significant move to bolster transport connectivity, Indian Railways has officially regularized two key train services, the Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad Express and the Puri-Patna Express, previously operated as special trains.
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw conveyed this development to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in a formal letter, highlighting the significance of the decision for enhancing public convenience. Scheduled to run daily and weekly respectively, these trains will improve accessibility and bolster tourism in Odisha.
CM Majhi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vaishnaw, emphasizing the decision's potential to strengthen mobility, tourism, and regional growth within the state. This strategic move is seen as a boost for Odisha's transportation network.
