Tragedy struck in Kushinagar district when a head-on collision between two motorcycles resulted in the deaths of three men and serious injuries to another. The accident occurred around 11 pm near the Ghazipur temple and was reportedly due to overspeeding.
Vijay Gupta, 24, and Golu Maddheshia, 27, were traveling back to Padrauna after attending a 'tilak' ceremony. Simultaneously, Deepu Prasad, 27, and Chhote Prasad, 21, were also returning home after attending a function. The collision resulted in the death of Vijay, Deepu, and Chhote, while Golu was admitted to BRD Medical College Hospital with critical injuries.
Local villagers rushed to the scene upon hearing the crash, and traffic was disrupted for about an hour. Tamkuhiraj SHO, Sunil Verma, stated that all legal formalities were completed and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations. Authorities stressed that the accident was primarily caused by overspeeding.
