India-Israel Forge Stronger Defence Bonds
India and Israel have signed an MoU to strengthen their defence ties, facilitated by SIBAT and SIDM. The agreement seeks to enhance cooperation between their defence industries with seminars and B2B meetings focusing on India's updated Defense Acquisition Procedure. Prime Minister Modi's upcoming visit will further bolster bilateral relations.
In a significant development ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel later this month, India and Israel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening defence ties. This agreement is set to deepen joint activities, including future seminars and cooperative initiatives among the two nations.
The International Defence Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) and India's Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), in collaboration with India's Ministry of Defence, orchestrated a seminar and B2B meetings. These engagements brought together prominent Indian and Israeli defence companies to discuss and align on India's updated Defense Acquisition Procedure (DAP) 2026.
The forum underscored the commitment of both sides to advancing bilateral dialogue and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the defence industries. As Modi prepares for his two-day visit, scheduled to start on February 25, the groundwork laid by these agreements promises to enhance bilateral and regional collaboration.
