In a tragic turn of events, three individuals lost their lives and four sustained serious injuries after their SUV overturned on the Nashik-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar highway in Maharashtra's Nashik district. The mishap occurred late Tuesday night as the SUV attempted to avoid a collision with a two-wheeler near the Sai Puja Hotel.
The vehicle, a Gujarat-registered Toyota Fortuner, lost control and hit the road divider, flipping over. The incident resulted in immediate fatalities, claiming the lives of two occupants on the spot, while others were rushed with severe injuries to nearby medical facilities. Authorities confirmed that all involved were residents of Surat, Gujarat.
Officials warned that the death toll could rise, as the injured remain in critical condition at the District Hospital in Nashik. The tragic incident underscores the need for cautious driving, especially on busy highways.
