A tragic vehicular accident on National Highway-27 in Assam claimed the lives of three people, among them a senior doctor. The incident occurred when the SUV they were in lost control and struck a divider.

According to authorities, the accident happened around 3:30 am near Nellie while the group was traveling from Jagiroad to Nagaon. The high-speed collision caused the vehicle to overturn and slide to the opposing side of the road, leaving it mangled.

Rescue teams had to employ gas cutters to extract the passengers from the crushed vehicle. The deceased have been identified as senior doctor Kantheswar Bordoloi and healthcare professionals Manas Mahanta and Asik Hussain. The two injured survivors are currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.
