STT GDC India and Maharashtra Government Partner to Propel Digital Infrastructure Growth

ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (India) has inked a significant Memorandum of Understanding with the Maharashtra Government to develop cutting-edge data centre campuses in Mumbai and Pune. The initiative, marked by a ceremonious signing attended by top officials, promises to further bolster its pan-India presence in the digital infrastructure sector.
With an investment of up to INR 5,000 crore, STT GDC India aims to expand its existing data centres, including a new 27-acre site in Palava, set to cater to AI and high-density computing needs. This expansion not only anticipates creating over 500 specialized jobs but is also expected to generate around 2,000 indirect employment opportunities, propelling economic growth in the region.
Leaders across both parties expressed their commitment to fostering Maharashtra as a premier digital hub. STT GDC India's CEO, Bruno Lopez, emphasized the importance of sustainable and scalable solutions. Meanwhile, the state's chief minister assured full support in the project's execution, underlining the benefits for local talent and related industries.
