NITI Aayog has announced its collaboration with the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) to host the Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) in 2025, aiming to bolster India's position as a leader in global rice exports. Set for October 31, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, this significant event will gather key stakeholders from the agricultural sector.
Integral to BIRC 2025 is the participation of farmers from across India. They are set to gain from workshops and training sessions focused on cutting-edge techniques in paddy cultivation and export-oriented strategies. IREF President Prem Garg highlighted the conference's role as a vital connector between policymakers and the farming community, enhancing India's rice production ecosystem.
Officials from NITI Aayog stress the importance of such initiatives in driving sustainable agriculture and fostering collaboration between the government and the private sector.
