Bata India Ltd has announced a significant drop in net profits for the second quarter of 2025. The footwear giant saw profits plummet by over 73% to Rs 13.9 crore, a stark contrast to the Rs 51.98 crore recorded during the same period last year.
The substantial decrease in profit is primarily attributed to subdued revenue figures and escalating expenses. The consolidated revenue from operations dipped to Rs 801.33 crore, down from Rs 837.14 crore in the previous fiscal year's similar quarter.
Moreover, the company's total expenses surged to Rs 795.2 crore from last year's Rs 785.09 crore, further straining the financial outcome amid challenging market conditions.
