India-China Flights Set to Soar Again
India and China are set to resume direct flight services later this month after a long suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic and border tensions. In a significant development, India and China will resume direct flight services later this month, as announced by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday.
Air travel between the two nations had been halted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by tensions over the eastern Ladakh border dispute.
Now, it has been agreed that these connections will be restored by late October, dependent on the commercial decisions of airlines and the fulfillment of operational requirements. This move follows technical discussions between the civil aviation authorities of both countries to update their air services agreement.
