The Standard, a leading US-based insurance and investment firm, has inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) at Embassy Tech Village in Bengaluru. The event, attended by IT Minister Priyank Kharge, marks The Standard's second year of operations in India, following its November 2025 local launch.
The Bangalore facility will bolster the company's AI engineering, cloud platform development, data analytics, digital transformation, and insurance operations, aligning with its global strategy. Plans for expansion in software engineering and enterprise platforms have been announced, reinforcing the firm's commitment to increasing its tech expertise in India.
Greg Chandler, Executive Vice President of Information Technology at The Standard, highlighted the significance of the new centre as a strategic investment in India, reflecting the country’s growing role in the company’s technology transformation efforts.
