Nippon India Mutual Fund (NIMF) has unveiled an investor awareness campaign, 'Har Ghar Investor', targeting increased mutual fund engagement among retail investors. The initiative seeks to educate first-time investors and cultivate strong investing habits.

The campaign encourages at least one member per household to take up mutual fund investments, aiming for broader national participation over time. NIMF highlighted a gap in investor involvement, noting that despite 12 crore demat accounts, only about six crore actively invest in mutual funds.

The campaign is timely, aligning with concerns raised by the Securities and Exchange Board of India over risks in complex trading instruments. Utilizing digital platforms, it features testimonials from diverse individuals and includes explanatory videos to demystify mutual fund concepts for newcomers.
