INOX Air Products has commissioned India's first ultra-high purity (UHP) liquid oxygen facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, aiming to bolster the country's semiconductor and solar manufacturing sectors. The state-of-the-art plant produces 6N grade liquid oxygen with 99.9999% purity and a daily capacity of 17 tonnes.

The facility is designed to meet the stringent requirements of the electronics and photovoltaic industries by reducing reliance on imports and improving supply reliability for domestic manufacturers. Strategically located in Hosur, it serves emerging high-technology clusters, enabling faster deliveries and minimizing supply chain disruptions.

Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, emphasized the initiative's role in building domestic capabilities, aligning with India's push for technological self-reliance. This marks a significant milestone for India's advanced manufacturing ecosystem, particularly for the burgeoning semiconductor and solar sectors.
